Our Top Tips for Your Mountain Biking Tour

Through the Söllbach Valley to the Schwarzentenn Alm

This leisurely bike route in the southern part of Lake Tegernsee is perfect for warming up. Start in Bad Wiessee and follow the Söllbach Valley to the Schwarzentenn Alm. Continue along the Schwarzenbach towards Wildbad Kreuth. Ride back to Bad Wiessee along the Weissach until you reach Lake Tegernsee again.

Tip for a Break: The beer garden at Herzogliches Gasthaus Altes Bad in Wildbad Kreuth.

Over the Auer Alm to Fockenstein

This tour requires a bit more endurance. Ride your mountain bike to the rustic Auer Alm at the foot of Fockenstein. You can either head straight back to Bad Wiessee or extend the tour via the Lenggrieser Hut at Seekarkreuz into the Söllbach Valley and back to the hotel. Beautiful viewpoints along the way invite you to take a break.

Bike & Hike: Up to Wallberg

This tour is not for the faint of heart! The climb past the Wallberg Valley Station becomes very steep, winding up about 800 meters. But the effort is worth it: Tegernsee lies to the north, with the Alps to the south. The final stretch to the summit is hiked on foot. For a peaceful break, we recommend Berghotel Altes Wallberghaus – enjoy a snack platter, meatballs with potato salad, or Kaiserschmarrn. The descent is via the Sutten route back to the starting point.
